There is a not so funny thing we do, as humans. We've taken something amazingly powerful and collapsed it into the very thing that has us in a constant conflict.
From the contracted energy, we perpetuate beliefs like:
I remember in high school, jumping between people who were beginning to fight in the hallway. I had done the same thing with my younger sisters in their bedroom years early when they were having turf wars. I also used to stomp around the house and shout, "why are they not listening to each other. All they're doing is wanting to fight!" But this time I was talking about the politicians I heard debating on TV.
You can imagine, when the "can we all get along" plea hit the air waves, quoting Rodney King, I heard my own voice in his words. But it was more than that.
For me, it hasn't been about wanting to simply end the fighting, rather to transcend the conditioning that has us want to perpetuate the "You Vs Me" consciousness.
I felt, even as a young girl, there was something more to it.
It was more than a persistent collapse into duality.
It was not, as so many have said, simply the "human condition."
So, I've spent most of my life exploring this and deepening my understanding of duality, and the universal principle that informs it.
I believe, today as never before, we -- yes, you and me and countless other souls around this great planet -- can live lives that are not constrained by comparison and contrast, rightness and wrongness. We can create possibility in our leadership and choices. We can illuminate the shadow frequencies that keep us in struggle and pain.
